In order to study for a doctorate in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, you must meet the admission requirements and find a professor who is prepared to supervise your dissertation.

Applying to study for a doctorate

Once you have completed all the necessary work (doctoral studies and dissertation), you can apply to the Dean’s Office for your doctorate:

Publication of your dissertation

You must publish your dissertation within one year of completing your doctoral studies. You can do this electronically through the University Library Bern or have it published in book form.
